The left side eyebrow, mustache, and full beard are thick and painted a reddish brown color, sculpted to be raised from the mask and carved with hairlines. The left side has paint chips from where hair was attached to the mask. The right side has the skin painted a dark tan with reddish undertones and is mostly smooth. The right side also has a sculpted ear on the side with an earplug. The earplug is painted gold and has a silver piece of metal in the center. The right side eyebrow, mustache and goatee are thin and painted black, they are slightly raised sculpted onto the mask with carved hairlines painted blue as accents. There are four puncture holes at the top of the right side for where hair was attached to the mask.
The Sun Serpent was a play produced by Childsplay, performed at Tempe Center for the Arts in 2011.
Artist and sculptor Zarco Guerrero made about 30 masks for the performance. All of the masks were made directly on the actors to better fit them during the performance.
