This piece started as a larger encaustic piece that I just couldn't resolve- so I cut out the pieces I liked, and reassembled them into this assemblage! The top encaustic portion includes a nest I drew and silkscreened, rusted fabric, old book pages and feathers floating through the background, along with the occasional horse hair! Slices of crabapple and maple stack along with a dogwood branch on wood panel.
