Funny Face Series created as an addition to the Mercado Collection, available for purchase. Artist, Zarco Guerrero created these masks to add more variety at festivals. After realizing the large number of aggressive-faced masks he produced, he decided it was time to lighten the air with two new series of masks; the 2024 Sonrisa & Funny Face Series. By creating the new mask series, the artist payed tribute to traditional themes used in Mexican art and provided a special element of humor and cheerfulness displayed for festivals and the mercado.
Tan skin tone base, with splotches of peach primarily on the nose, chin, cheeks, and forehead. Wrinkles throughout entire mask. Large, droopy nose, curving slightly to the right. Smile with top row of four teeth showing. Gaps in between each tooth.
