acrylic inks, pastel, spray paint, and pussy willow leaves eaten by Japanese beetles on wood panel. While working on most large pieces, I have what I call "peripheral" pieces going on at the same time to warm up, experiment on, and use up all the custom mixtures I've made. This piece was an experiment on how to pour the larger river that had to span 11ft...As I wrapped it up, I realized that my love for liquid processes is really just acting out the concept of following the flow....what I try to do in my art and y life. Many times I am gratified to see these pieces that are less examined often times surpass the pieces that took the main stage at the time. I was working on this piece at the same time as the mural scale piece, and 5ft x 30 felt small....
