Scott Noel serves as juror for The Figure: Portraiture & Narrative – A Juried Exhibition.

Noel is represented by Gross McCleaf Gallery in Philadelphia and his work is included in numerous private, public and corporate collections including the Museum of the Pennsylvania Academy, the Woodmere Art Museum, the Arkansas Art Center and the Pennsylvania Convention Center. "Figure paintings have always wedded specific individuals with narrative roles. Think of Lorenzo de Medici, Hendrickje, Stoffels, Victorine Meurent and Leigh Bowery playing both themselves and characters in the pictorial fictions of Botticelli, Rembrandt, Monet and Lucian Freud. Almost all figure paintings imply a question about the relationship between the model and the role they play even in boardroom portraits of captains of industry. Characterization, analysis, likeness and a sense of drama are entangled in visual art." Juror Scott Noel
