This is a call for visual artists to apply for a five week virtual artist residency, resulting in solo installations which will transform unconventional film venues throughout the town of Columbia, MO, USA in a celebration of artists, films, music for the True/False Film Fest 2025.

We are looking for emerging and mid-career artists and encourage applications from artists who may identify as underrepresented in the traditional art world (BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, disabled, and parents/caregivers).

The virtual residency will provide our visual artists a platform for cultural exchange, networking, and creative exploration, allowing artists to connect and collaborate regardless of geographical constraints, culminating in an in-person exhibition of their art installations during the 2025 T/F Film Fest.

Located 50 miles south of Dallas in historic Corsicana, this residency occupies revitalized downtown buildings. The Corsicana Artist & Writer Residency supports international creative work, bridging the American South and West.

Funding covers studio and housing accommodations for all accepted applicants, estimated at $4,000-$6,000 per two-month term. Residents pay a non-refundable $200 Administration Fee. Travel, meals, and research expenses are not covered.

The residency offers educational programs, exhibitions, and publications, fostering dialogue with diverse audiences.

Established in 2001, the Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts (KHN) is a renowned Artist Residency program that supports established and emerging visual artists, writers, composers, and interdisciplinary artists worldwide. Uniquely housed in a residential prairie-style complex in Nebraska City, Nebraska, KHN awards up to seventy residency awards per year and hosts 5 residents at any time. Residency awards are 2-8 weeks in length and include a weekly $175 stipend. In addition, residents receive their own private bedroom, bathroom, and studio.

The 22nd Piksel Festival, an international event for electronic art and technological freedom in Bergen, Norway, announces its call for projects. This hybrid edition welcomes ideas for both online and physical collaborative activities, including projects for the virtual gallery IDLE.

Open tracks include installations, audiovisual performances, presentations, workshops, and PikselSavers. We encourage sustainable practices and prioritize projects exploring specific themes through multiple artworks and workshops.

The City of Napa invites artists to participate in the 2024 Napa Dia de los Muertos. Artwork is open to outdoor sculpture, installation art, altars and puppetry and art/craft vendors related to Dia de los Muertos. Interested participants are encouraged to submit a proposal of current work or a proposal to display as part of the celebration of Dia de los Muertos.

Artists are invited to display artworks that share their own history, culture and traditions that are related to the Dia de los Muertos. This opportunity is open to artists residing or working in AZ, CA, CO, NM, NV, OR, UT, ID or WA. All backgrounds and cultures are encouraged to apply. The 2024 Napa Dia de los Muertos will take place Saturday, November 2nd, 2024 from 3- 8pm. Installations, altars and artworks need to be self maintainable and safe for the public.

The artwork displays will be located in downtown Napa at various public plazas and parks to create an enjoyable walkable experience for all ages.

The 2025 Napa Lighted Art Festival seeks innovative light-based artworks for its free, open-air event in downtown Napa. Running from January 18th to February 16th, 2025, the festival aims to engage residents and visitors, showcase Napa's beauty, and promote arts, science, and technology.

Artists can submit proposals for installations, with stipends ranging from $2,000 to $10,000. The festival encourages contemporary, uplifting, and imaginative works using various light technologies. Submissions are due by September 1st, 2024.

Artworks should consider outdoor durability, visitor experience, and technical feasibility. The curatorial team will select pieces based on artistic impact, creativity, and alignment with festival goals.

This issue explores how the physical body redefines feminist scholarship, art, and activism amid current global challenges. It examines the body as a site of intersectional identities, violence, and resistance, centering on marginalized communities.

Berlinale Talents is the Berlin International Film Festival's talent development programme. It consists of two main components:

Project development labs: Digital group meetings and individual mentorship sessions in late January or early February.
Onsite summit: A six-day event during the Berlinale (2024: 17-22 Feb) featuring panels, discussions, and networking opportunities.

Lab participants present their projects at the European Film Market during the Berlinale. All participants begin networking in January through online encounters.

Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery announces its 28th “Solo Art Series” Online Art Competition. The gallery will judge the Top 12 artists who have the most complete “Body of Work” to show. In its 64th season, Bucks County's longest continually running art gallery will hold its 10th Juried Art Exhibition during four weekends beginning October 12th with a gala opening on Sunday, October 13th - 1:00 to 5:00pm.

Peep Projects invites all interested artists to submit their work to our first juried open call after three and a half years of programming. About Peep Projects
- Peep predominantly organizes solo, two-person, and thematic group exhibitions with national and international artists, focusing on site-specific installations.
- As an ode to Marcel Duchamp’s Étant Donnés (on view at the Philadelphia Museum of Art), a peephole was installed in its former location—a renovated studio in Viking Mill—for viewers to peep into the exhibitions from the hallways. Now at Crane Arts in Olde Kensington, Philadelphia, visitors can view the exhibitions from a large window in the door.
- Peep was founded in December 2020 by artist Libby Rosa.

Applications are open to artists from around the world who have five years of experience in sculpting and exhibiting in outdoor spaces and galleries. Artists are invited to send their proposals in response to the curatorial theme ‘From Then to Now‘.

Following a review process, 30 local and international sculptors will be invited to participate in the symposium, where they will create large scale sculptures in a live setting, made from Saudi-sourced granite of three different colors.

Participating artists will be invited to stay in Riyadh throughout the creation period, with materials, tools and assistants being provided to them. In addition to an artist fee, the program offers all expenses, including accommodation as well as return flights for international artists.

WomensWork.Art announces 'The Last Breath,' an exhibition exploring Death, Momento Mori, and Honoring the Dead through Art at their Downtown Poughkeepsie, NY gallery. The call is open to women, femme-identifying, and non-binary artists living in the United States.

Entry fees are $30 for up to three works and $10 for each additional piece (maximum five). Submissions must be made through EntryThingy. Artwork dimensions are limited to 36 inches on the longest side or 2 feet diameter for 3D pieces. The exhibition will be featured in-person and online.

Artists retain 70% of sales. WomensWork.Art handles transactions and taxes, while artists are responsible for shipping. Due to COVID-19 logistical delays, international submissions are not accepted.

The 2024 Vincent Buckley Poetry Prize is seeking applications.

In 2024, the $15,000 award is offered to an Australian poet to Visit Ireland or Northen Ireland.

The Vincent Buckley Poetry Prize was established to commemorate the life and work of the late Vincent Buckley; poet, critic and Professor of English at the University of Melbourne. It is a biennial award that is offered alternately to enable an Australian poet to visit Ireland and to facilitate the visit of an Irish poet to Melbourne. The Prize, which has been made available through generous donations from family and friends of Vincent Buckley, provides the recipient with a return airfare, and a contribution towards living expenses.

This exhibition call for 'Joy' at Arc Gallery and Studios in San Francisco invites artists to explore and capture the essence of joy in their work. Curated by Priscilla Otani and Karen M. Gutfreund, the show seeks diverse interpretations of happiness and positive emotions.

The call is open to women, femme-identifying, and non-binary artists in the United States. Artwork dimensions are limited to 60" x 40" for 2D pieces and 16" x 16" pedestal or 4' floor space for 3D works.

The exhibition runs from November 16, 2024, to January 11, 2025. Artists receive 60% of sales, with the gallery retaining 40%.

Jurors Priscilla Otani and Karen M. Gutfreund bring extensive experience in curating and promoting artists. The exhibition aims to create an emotionally engaging showcase of contemporary works exploring the theme of joy.

Princeton Arts Fellowships, funded in part by The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, David E. Kelley Society of Fellows in the Arts, and the Maurice R. Greenberg Scholarship Fund, will be awarded to artists whose achievements have been recognized as demonstrating extraordinary promise in any area of artistic practice and teaching. Applicants should be early career visual artists, filmmakers, poets, novelists, playwrights, designers, directors and performance artists—this list is not meant to be exhaustive—who would find it beneficial to spend two years teaching and working in an artistically vibrant university community.

Princeton Arts Fellows spend two consecutive academic years (September 1-July 1) at Princeton University and formal teaching is expected. The normal work assignment will be to teach one course each semester subject to approval by the Dean of the Faculty, but fellows may be asked to take on an artistic assignment in lieu of a class, such as directing a play or creating a dance with students. Although the teaching load is light, our expectation is that Fellows will be full and active members of our community, committed to frequent and engaged interactions with students during the academic year.

A $92,000 a year stipend is provided. Fellowships are not intended to fund work leading to an advanced degree. One need not be a U.S. citizen to apply. Holders of Ph.D. degrees from Princeton are not eligible to apply.

Past recipients of the Hodder Fellowship and individuals who have had a sustained and continuous relationship with Princeton University are not eligible to apply. Those who have had an occasional and sporadic relationship with Princeton may apply.

Presenting Art Collide’s "Open Theme”, Fall 2024, international competition and online exhibition. 440 Gallery announces the Call for Entries for the 20th annual Small Works Show 2024. This national, juried exhibition celebrates the innovation of artists who create work on a small scale in a broad range of media and styles. The Center for Book Arts offers a year-long residency program for early and mid-career artists living in New York City. The program aims to support artists in exploring book arts and expanding their artistic practice.

Four to six residencies are awarded annually, welcoming applicants with varying levels of experience in book arts. The residency includes a $1,500 stipend, up to $6,000 in course tuition waivers, and 24-hour access to CBA's Manhattan studios.

Residents are expected to spend 20-40 hours per week in the studios, attend public programs, participate in quarterly BookTalks, and contribute to a group exhibition. The program offers opportunities for public speaking, collaboration, and studio visits with curators and artists.

Applicants must submit an artist statement, CV, 10 work samples, and an image list. The residency runs from January to December 2025 and is open to individual artists only, with a focus on those living in the five boroughs of New York City.

The Hambidge Center, located on 600 forested acres in north Georgia, offers a unique residency program for creatives. As the oldest residency program in the Southeast, it provides a self-directed experience that respects the individual creative process.

The center accommodates small groups of 8-10 residents, each given a private studio with living space and kitchen. Communal vegetarian dinners are served Tuesday through Friday, fostering collaboration and friendships among diverse participants from various creative fields.

Key features include specialized facilities like the Antinori Pottery Studio and a Steinway grand piano. Two ADA-compliant studios are available, though the terrain is generally uneven and rustic.

Residents should be prepared for a secluded environment with no cell service or in-studio internet. The center emphasizes a focused, distraction-free creative experience.

Applications for the Spring Session (mid-February through May) are accepted from August 1 to September 15 of the previous year. Prospective applicants are encouraged to review all guidelines and FAQs before applying.

The City of Loveland Art in Public Places Program seeks an artist to create a suspended, aerial public art installation for the Northern Colorado Regional Airport. An aviation-themed, suspended public art installation within the main terminal seating area will be a primary focus for travelers. Reflecting its mission to bridge East and West through the arts, the Boghossian Foundation launches an international Prize to celebrate artists whose work fosters a better mutual understanding among cultures.

The Prize is intended to pay tribute, each year, to three winners for their work promoting a dialogue between civilisations, a principle that lies at the heart of the mission of the Boghossian Foundation. There is no age limit for the Prize.

Chaired by Jean and Albert Boghossian, the international jury will reward artists in the fields of visual arts, design and crafts, and jewellery.

The Visual Arts Prize will be awarded to a piece of art inspired by cultural dialogue. The Design and Crafts Prize reflects the importance of reconsidering everyday objects through the lens of ancestral Eastern craftsmanship. Art Scene West is opening its submission doors to Abstract Artists everywhere! From this call opportunity, up to 20 artists will be selected to have their unique paintings adorn the walls of our downtown San Diego gallery for 2 months beginning October 4th - November 30th. Our gallery is located in Seaport Village of downtown San Diego, a beautiful attraction where tourists and locals gather to enjoy the seaside businesses, luxury restaurants, and beautiful Southern California weather. Selected artists will also enjoy their own artist page on the Art Scene West website, featuring their artist bio, personal statement, artist photo, and artwork photo for the duration of the exhibition. They will benefit from our social media, email, and local promotional campaigns for the duration of the exhibition. An archive of the show will also be permanently available on the Art Scene West website. Artists will get a 70% commission on their art sale.

The Graham Foundation for Advanced Studies in the Fine Arts, established in 1956, offers grants to support innovative ideas about architecture and its role in society. The foundation focuses on projects that investigate contemporary conditions, expand historical perspectives, or explore the future of the designed environment.

The grant program is open to a wide range of practitioners, including architects, scholars, artists, and educators, as well as organizations like non-profit galleries and universities. The foundation prioritizes projects that contribute to public discourse and reach new audiences.

For individual grants, the foundation aims to support crucial or transformative stages in careers, enable new forms of expression, and help communicate work to wider audiences. They particularly encourage first-time applicants.
Evaluation criteria include originality, potential impact, feasibility, and the applicant's capacity. The application process involves two stages: an initial online Inquiry Form, followed by an invited Proposal Form for selected applicants.
The Graham Foundation seeks to provide critical support at key points in project development, fostering diverse and challenging ideas about architecture and its broader cultural context.

VCCA Fellows are selected by peer review on the basis of professional achievement or promise of achievement in their respective fields. Separate review panels are created for each category (poetry, fiction, nonfiction, playwriting/screenwriting, children’s literature, performance, film/video, book arts, drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, installation art, music composition, etc.). Panelists undergo periodic review and rotate regularly to ensure VCCA admission decisions are guided by high caliber artists who represent a diversity of styles and tastes.

The Artadia Awards provide financial support, exposure and recognition to artists. The awards are unrestricted, allowing artists to use the funds in any way they choose.

Each year, an open-call application is made available in each of the seven active partner cities. Supporting artists equitably is a critical part of the Artadia Award process: we consider the unique populations of each community and are proud to reflect our country’s diversity with an Awardee pool that is over 50 percent female and over 40 percent persons of color.

In addition to financial support, Awardees can participate in the Artadia Network to receive structured opportunities for valuable new connections and resource sharing as well as receive a dedicated webpage on Artadia’s online Artist Registry. Connections fostered by Artadia have facilitated major steps in Awardees’ careers, such as inclusion in prominent exhibitions (e.g. five Awardees were featured in the 2017 Whitney Biennial, and six in 2019).

Call for Entries for The Figure: Portraiture & Narrative - A Juried Exhibition: Wayne Art Center invites submissions in painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, photography and mixed media works that explore the overlapping territories of portraiture and visual storytelling.

Artists 18+ from PA, NJ, NY, DE, MD, VA and Washington, D.C. are eligible to submit up to two original works created between 2022 and 2024. Artists are permitted to submit additional applications. Juror – Scott Noel
Scott Noel serves as juror for The Figure: Portraiture & Narrative – A Juried Exhibition.

After completing undergraduate studies at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, Noel moved to Philadelphia in 1978. His first important solo exhibition was in the Fleisher Challenge Series in 1980. Since that time, he has mounted over 40 major shows across the country. Noel is represented by Gross McCleaf Gallery in Philadelphia and his work is included in numerous private, public and corporate collections including the Museum of the Pennsylvania Academy, the Woodmere Art Museum, the Arkansas Art Center and the Pennsylvania Convention Center. From 1996-2024, Noel taught drawing and painting in the undergraduate and graduate programs at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. His legacy as an educator also includes teaching at The University of the Arts, Arcadia University and Community College of Philadelphia.

"Figure paintings have always wedded specific individuals with narrative roles. Think of Lorenzo de Medici, Hendrickje, Stoffels, Victorine Meurent and Leigh Bowery playing both themselves and characters in the pictorial fictions of Botticelli, Rembrandt, Monet and Lucian Freud. Almost all figure paintings imply a question about the relationship between the model and the role they play even in boardroom portraits of captains of industry. Characterization, analysis, likeness and a sense of drama are entangled in visual art." Juror Scott Noel

Awards
Prizes in the amount of $3,000+ will be awarded and presented at the Opening Reception & Awards Ceremony on Sunday, October 13, 2024 from 3-5 pm.

Works submitted must have been completed after January 1, 2022. All works must be for sale. Works previously exhibited at Wayne Art Center are not eligible.

Collaborative work is accepted. Please include all artists’ names on the online application.

Please contact Wayne Art Center if you have an excessively large and/or complex installation. Additional expense will be incurred by the artist if artwork requires carpentry, special surface treatment to gallery walls or a custom-built pedestal/armature or specific installation request.

All accepted work MUST BE HAND-DELIVERED to and RETRIEVED from Wayne Art Center. NO shipped work will be accepted. NO exceptions.

Artwork must remain on display throughout the duration of the exhibition.

The entry fee is $50 for up to 2 artworks. Entry fee is non-refundable.

Visa, MasterCard, AMEX or PayPal will be accepted for entry fee payment. The application will not be finalized until the entry fee has been paid. Entries must be complete and submitted by midnight, September 16, 2024.

For 3D works, a detail image may be submitted along with the overall image- therefore up to two views per piece for 3D works is allowed for up to two pieces. Insurance and Liability

Wayne Art Center provides insurance coverage only while work is on our premises. All work will be insured for 60% of its retail value.

Submission of work to this exhibition constitutes an agreement on the part of the artist to all terms and conditions of this entire prospectus, which includes, but is not limited to, the right of Wayne Art Center to use entries images for publicity purposes. Wayne Art Center will not be responsible for works not claimed by Wednesday, November 27, 2024. Work not retrieved by November 27, 2024 will become the property of Wayne Art Center and available for sale at 100% commission to WAC.

Installation
All work should be submitted installation ready. Framed work should arrive wired and ready to hang and 3D work should be stable enough to sit securely on a pedestal or come with a base that provides stability. If artwork installation is overly complex, Wayne Art Center will contact the artist to request assistance with the installation process. An artist may be required to assume financial responsibility for any alternations (painted walls, site-specific pedestals, armatures, lighting, electrical, etc.) that are requested or required by a particular installation. The artist is welcome to install their complex artworks if necessary. Installation requests must be requested in advance and approved by Wayne Art Center.

Sales Policy
All work must be for sale and the price identified on the entry application must remain constant throughout the duration of the exhibition. Wayne Art Center processes all sales and will retain 40% commission of the sale price, or on any sale that results from mediation by Wayne Art Center staff. Wayne Art Center processes all resulting commissions of work that occur as a result of this exhibition at the same rate of 60/40 Artist/WAC.

Australia’s most diverse art prize for emerging contemporary artists, the churchie emerging art prize (‘the churchie’), has officially opened entries for 2024. This national prize, invites early-career artists to enter for a chance to exhibit and be considered for awards totalling an over $40,000 prize pool. Entries are open to all emerging Australian artists over 18, regardless of age, practice, or medium.

The call for entries will run until 16 September. Industry experts will be searching for diverse, innovative, and unique pieces that showcase Australian contemporary art in practice to feature at the Finalist’s Exhibition from 22 – 30 November, hosted at Metro Arts for the first time.

MEET THE TUTORS OF THE TASTER SESSION

Karen van Hoey Smith

Karen is an Artist Director and Fine Art Auctioneer with a Degree in Fine Art Evaluation, previously working as gallerist for over 15 years. In addition to this was she was also a partner of a leading UK art publishing house. With a successful history in face-to-face selling working as an Art Broker, having sold pieces for the likes of Banksy, Karen found that she was representing and helping Artists on a regular basis achieve more sales and reaching

their goals. She is now the lead Artists Mentor at the VAA, leading professional development of artists.

Louise Minnaar

Based in South Africa & UK; Louise followed her passion for art early on, attending Art School for 4 years and going on to achieve a degree in education. Louise brings over 10 years’ experience in the art industry, from art auctions all over the world to working with one of the largest publishers in the UK with Whitewall Galleries. Louise has helped clients from all walks of life get happily involved in collecting artwork, from not only the likes of Picasso and Miro, but also exciting up-and-comers at all stages in their art careers. Louise has attended Art Sales Academies with a number of leading galleries.

NCECA is pleased to announce the 21st annual NCECA Graduate Student Fellowships. The purpose of this fellowship is to foster and catalyze graduate students’ capacities to expand awareness and deepen knowledge in the ceramic arts through learning, intellectual inquiry, and creative research.

The applicant must make a project proposal for use of the $2,000.00 award (may not be used for tuition), and must submit additional materials as specified in the Application Process. A maximum of three awards in the amount of $2,000 each will be made, of which $1,000 (half the total amount) will be mailed upon return of the signed agreement. The Fellowship recipients will be notified of the selection in November 2024 and publicly announced through NCECA E-News, social media platforms, and conference publications. The balance of $1,000 will be sent following completion of a project report with images once it has been reviewed and approved. Final fellowship reports are due by December 31, 2025.
RECOMMENDATIONS
To complete your application, NCECA must receive your two letters of recommendation by September 19, 2024 (11:59pm Eastern). Please inform your recommenders of this deadline in advance. It is the applicant's responsibility to inform their recommenders about the deadline and to ask for the letters of recommendation. NCECA will not contact recommenders directly.

The NCECA Multicultural Fellowship program, now in its 11th year, aims to increase conference participation from historically underrepresented backgrounds.

For 2025, up to 20 fellowships will be awarded, providing up to $850 for conference expenses. Eligible candidates must be first-time attendees from underrepresented cultural backgrounds, committed to advancing ceramic art.

The fellowships support participation in the 59th annual NCECA conference in Salt Lake City, March 26–29, 2025. Recipients will be notified in November 2024. Current NCECA members are encouraged to invite eligible candidates who can contribute value to the field and the organization.

The Wassaic Project is currently holding our annual Open Call for our 2025 Summer Exhibition for artists of all mediums, including: 2D work, sculpture, video, new media, site-specific installation, performance, text, poems, essays, publication-specific work, etc. If selected, your work will be showcased alongside a diverse range of pieces and performances in and around historic Wassaic and Maxon Mills. REVIEW PROCESS
Applicants are evaluated by our Co-Directors — Eve, Bowie, and Jeff — and our Residency Director, Will. Artists are selected based on the quality of the work and how well a given piece fits alongside other pieces selected for the show.

We accept four types of proposals for our 2024 Summer Programming: ready-to-hang work, site-specific installations, temporary installations/performances, and publication-specific works. Your application can include multiple proposals.
For all proposals, include:
A formal description of the work you would like to show.
A three-sentence conceptual description of the work you would like to show or your artistic practice more generally.
A note about any special circumstances you anticipate around the installation of your work. We have limited equipment available, so we need to know in advance if you require anything specific.

2025 Call for Partner Institutions
​In preparation for the 150th Anniversary of the historic Atelier 11 Cité Falguière, L’AiR Arts is inviting cultural, academic and arts institutions worldwide to become partners in this unique living heritage initiative by creating art residency opportunities for their candidates in Paris.

Established in 1875, Atelier 11 stands as the last surviving studio of the world’s longest-running international artists’ residency still in operation. Once a thriving L'École de Paris hub boasting home-ateliers of Gauguin, Foujita, Modigliani, Brancusi and Soutine, it hosted hundreds of French and international artists throughout the 19th and 20th centuries. Recently recognized as a heritage site, Atelier 11 is scheduled to undergo rehabilitation to continue welcoming artists and cultural professionals as an International Arts Research Residency.

To celebrate the inclusive history of the École de Paris and to foster intercultural exchange, L’AiR Arts launches a global call for partner institutions interested in offering art residency opportunities for their candidates at Atelier 11 in Paris. Residents must receive support from one or more cultural partners who assume responsibility for covering the costs associated with the residency. ​

RESIDENT PROFILE
Atelier 11 residency program is designed for artists and cultural professionals of all ages, from all countries and all creative disciplines who wish to develop their artistic research and/or project in Paris.

RESIDENCY DURATION
Two weeks to two months

TERMS OF RESIDENCE
Partner institution(s) help to offset the costs of upkeep and preservation of the historic Atelier 11 residency, while also creating a nurturing and productive environment for the residents. Atelier 11 residency offers two individual furnished living studios, communal work and exhibition space, research library and a meeting room with a fully equipped kitchen. The residency also provides programming, communications and event support based on individual project needs. In addition to contributing towards the residency program, partner institution(s) cover the cost of return travel and provide the resident with a living allowance; they also ensure that the resident has a visa and insurance covering medical expenses and civil liability for the duration of the residency.

This living heritage project has been initiated by the L'AiR Arts and Cité Falguière Associations with the vision of establishing an International Arts Research Residency dedicated to the intercultural artistic exchange as the legacy of the École de Paris.

Built by artists for artists in the 1860s, Atelier 11 is the last preserved atelier of the historical artists community of Cité Falguière in Paris. During its 150+ years of artistic history, the Cité Falguière served as a working and living place to more than a hundred French and international artists. Once home to Amedeo Modigliani, Tsuguharu Foujita, Constantin Brancusi, Chaïm Soutine, and Paul Gauguin, it was built with connecting staircases and footbridges to foster connections among artists. Artists of Cité Falguière from different cultural and social backgrounds, such as Chaïm Soutine and Amedeo Modigliani, often shared the same atelier space that brought them closer together and provided the opportunity for exchange, encouragement and inspirations.

Entry is done through CaFÉ, a web-based service that allows artists to upload images and organize their artwork for submissions to galleries. To apply for a call, you must leave our website and go to the CaFÉ website at www.callforentry.org where you can create a FREE artist account. You will add your details and upload your images to CaFÉ and then you can submit work to STAND 2024. NOTIFICATION
Notification will be done by email, everyone who submits will be notified of the juror’s selections. If for any reason you do not hear from us by the notification date, please check the filters in your email account. Notification emails are sent to the email on file with CaFÉ.

SALES
All sales inquiries will be directed to the artist’s website and/or contact information. For any artwork that is sold, the artists receive 100% of the sale.

GIVING BACK
A portion of the proceeds from the entry fees is donated to organizations committed to the arts and supporting artists.

REQUIRED FORMS
Cash awards over $600 are subject to federal income tax withholding within the United States. A W-9 form must be filled out by the winner and submitted to Art Fluent, Inc.

McColl Center's Artist-in-Residence Program is an internationally acclaimed program that serves as a catalyst for artistic growth for emerging and mid-career artists. We host three residency terms per year:

Artists-in-Residence receive private housing adjacent to McColl Center, a large-scale private studio in our historic building in Uptown Charlotte, curatorial guidance, marketing and PR support, and a generous stipend. While in residency, our artists have the freedom to fully focus on artistic research, exploration, and creation while also engaging with McColl Center’s Igniters community and the local creative sector. Summer Artist-in-Residence Program is offered to parents and educators who otherwise would not have the opportunity to participate in McColl Center residency because of their responsibilities during school/university periods. This residency will support their practices, give you the chance to bring your family with you, use the facilities, and equipment offered by the Center on our Labs. Artists may work in drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, film, video, new media, written or spoken word, or interdisciplinary practices.

Residency Dates: June 3 - August 11, 2025.

Artists-in-Residence participate in a group exhibition and lead one to two community engagements centered around their practice.

The Tyler School of Art and Architecture at Temple University offers a five-month residency (January through May 2025) in the Art Department, which is composed of undergraduate and graduate degree programs in Ceramics, Fibers and Material Studies, Glass, Metals/Jewelry/CAD-CAM, Painting, Photography, Printmaking, and Sculpture. The residency will be awarded to an artist whose work is primarily focused on the history and lived experience of North American federally recognized tribal citizens and who exemplifies the art and activism of the artist Edgar Heap of Birds in bringing attention to the lives, struggles and triumphs of Native Americans. The artist in residence will have the opportunity to mentor and advise Tyler students. The residency will culminate in an exhibition to be held in the Edgar Heap of Birds Family Gallery in Temple Contemporary, Tyler’s center for exhibitions and public programs.

The residency will provide an opportunity for an artist to expand their personal practice while offering access to Tyler’s state-of-the art studio facilities. Tyler’s programs encompass a wide range of areas in the study of art, design, art history, art education and architecture. In each program, students benefit from a rigorous curriculum and a large, diverse campus community.

Residency includes:
• Individual studio
• 24-hour access to shared studio facilities and equipment
• $1,500 materials budget
• Opportunity to teach, mentor, and/or advise students
• Participation in a solo exhibition
• Stipend of $3,500 per month

The figure has long held a fascination as a subject matter worthy of depiction for generations of artist. The figure has the ability to inspire within us a very basic awe and wonder. The figure is full of possibilities for artists. This class is about Experimentation and Innovation.
In this workshop, students will be challenged to look for what could be, instead of seeing what is. We will embark on a journey filled with exploration and discovery as we search for the magical balance between the two. The search will continue in order to find the right line, tone, smudge, color, texture and shape, resulting in a collection of marks that reveal and celebrate the process. Our working surfaces will be considered arenas of struggle where desire, chance, skill, ideas, media and surface will all be engaged in this process.

About David Limrite
David Limrite was born in Salinas, California. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from San Diego State University. Yet, feeling as though had not placed enough emphasis on the techniques of drawing, he entered Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. Through his studies there, he acquired and developed the essence of his figurative work.
Limrite’s current work continues an investigation of the struggle for understanding and ultimate acceptance of complex emotional issues. Using primarily graphite, charcoal, acrylic and collage, his work combines virtuoso drawing with cathartic expressionism. Limrite uses emotional content to give his figures power and intensity, underscoring their emotion through passionate handling of materials which animates the figures and suggests energy between the forms.

Designed by artists, for artists, the Online Drawing Development Year is an innovative new course that has been devised to allow arts graduates and those with a developing studio practice, to benefit from live online drawing tuition and a structured critical dialogue with tutors, mentors, and peers over the course of three terms.

Created in response to the success of our new online public courses and the increasing demand for an online course taught at postgraduate level, this programme will provide students with structure, sustained critical engagement and the development of drawing skills, all in dialogue with their existing artistic practice. This is a flexible, part-time course and students will be able to curate their own programme of courses each term, allowing for a balance between work, studio time and other commitments. Delivered online, the course also suits those who live outside of London and abroad or have specific access needs.

Places are offered through an application process. Applicants will usually have completed a BA degree in a creative subject, but this is not essential; demonstration of a strong studio practice, and a commitment to drawing and study at postgraduate level, will also be taken into account.

To apply for this course applicants need to fill in the online application form which includes writing a 500 word statement telling us about your current practice, and why you think the Online Drawing Development Year is right for you; and upload a digital portfolio of 20 images, 10 of which must be drawings:

Hayama is a town in Kanagawa Prefecture, on central Honshū, Japan. It is located at the northern end of Miura Peninsula, facing Sagami Bay on the Pacific Ocean. For context, it is about a 1.5 hour drive from Hayama to Tokyo. Hayama has an estimated population of 33,000 people. The area has a temperate maritime climate with short cool winters and hot humid summers. Since 1894, the Japanese Imperial Family has maintained a residence in Hayama, the seaside Hayama Imperial Villa.

If you are selected for the residency, you will receive a roundtrip flight to Narita International Airport (Narita) or Tokyo International Airport (Haneda), shared accommodations with one other artist-in-residence for 4 weeks, and a weekly allotment of $200 USD for meals and local transportation. Upon arrival in Japan, you will be met at the airport by a member of our staff and escorted to transportation that will bring you to your accommodations at hôtel ami hayama. Please see our FAQs for more information.

Although there will be several scheduled events and programs during your stay, including the artist-in-residence exhibition, the primary purpose of the residency is to give you an opportunity to immerse yourself in various aspects of Japanese culture and to meet artists, curators and gallery owners in Japan. Artists are not required to create new work during the residency. We want you to have ample time to reflect on your career and plan for the future in a calm, nurturing environment.
A key component of Hayama Artist Residency is a group exhibition during your stay to highlight your work and that of the other participating artists. We have partnered with KOKI ARTS, a contemporary art gallery located in Bakurocho, an art district in Tokyo, to host the residency exhibition. If you are accepted into the residency, our curatorial team and the director of KOKI ARTS will coordinate the selection of your work, a consignment agreement, shipping and insurance.

Due to the collaborative nature of a group exhibition, inherent space limitations, and the costs we’ll incur for international shipping, it is important that you are willing to work cooperatively with us throughout this process.

Introducing ArtExpress Art Sanctuary International Competition and online exhibition. This art competition is open to artists of all ages internationally. There are no restrictions on media or style. The theme for this competition is dedicated to showcasing and celebrating human creativity and artistic expression. This call for entry is open as from the 29th July – 30th September 2024 to all artists of all nationalities. Open to amateur and professional artists from all the countries of the world.

ART SUBMISSIONS:
Submit three artworks with their titles, mediums, sizes in centimeters and prices in USD. ArtExpress art jury of 9 art curators each representing a different field in the art world will ensure a fair and balanced selection process. They will review submitted artworks and announce the art prize winners in a month from the date submissions are closed.

The Theatre in Palm partner countries will organise 12 local residencies for emerging artists in 2024. Each of the 12 partner countries will host five emerging artists for two weeks in their local venues.

Theatre in Palm’s residencies give the artists an opportunity for professional development and to build their networks in Europe. The main goal of the residencies is to foster collaboration, inspire and share insights and experiences while creating new relationships.

Each residency will work on a co-production that can take many different forms. It can be artworks, plays, scripts, performance works, recorded performances, videos, text, paintings and more. The only requirement is that it must be able to be displayed digitally in the project’s digital library – Theatre Repository.

Residency theme will be one of these, or a combination of these: Social impact, General equality, and/or Environmental sustainability.

The Clifton Arts Center provides approximately 1800 square feet of modern well-lit and upgraded HVAC gallery exhibit space on the grounds of the Clifton Municipal Complex.

The Clifton Arts Center is planning a “Clifton Quarantine Station” exhibit for November- December of 2024. This will be a comprehensive historical representation of the United States Animal Quarantine Station situated in Clifton, focusing on the period from 1900 to 1979 when the barns housed exotic birds, prized cows, racehorses, elephants, giraffes, musk oxen, camels and more!

This exhibit will delve into specific historic themes surrounding the development and operations of animal inspections during this period. It will also present the stringent standards established by the United States
Department of Agriculture to safeguard the nation's livestock and poultry from foreign diseases. For this specific exhibit, 3D sculptures of animals are needed. In particular, 3ft and above; life size is also appropriate. Sculptures of animals can be made of any type of medium – realistic or representational. Some examples of materials used can be paper mâché, wood, bronze, aluminum, marble, etc.

Submissions will be considered based on their artistic merit. Please, be aware that the Clifton Arts Center is a municipally funded exhibit space and as such reserves the right to exclude from exhibit works deemed inappropriate due to their content or subject matter.

Tsung-Yeh Arts and Cultural Center is located in the Madou district, on the northern outskirts of Tainan City. Madou is a tranquil and leisurely small town with a laid-back lifestyle, located approximately 50 minutes drive from downtown Tainan. The cultural center as the factory and headquarter of the Japanese Meiji Sugar Manufacturing Corporation, Tsung-Yeh began operation in January 1912.

The four existing buildings have been declared by Tainan City Government as monuments for preservation, including the Red-Brick Office, the Guest House, the Red Brick Craft Hall, and the Factory Manager's Dormitory. Currently, the Red Brick Office and the Red Brick Craft Hall are provided as two exhibition halls for the resident artists to create and exhibit their works.

In 1624, the Dutch East India Company built the first city of Fort Zeelandia on the island in Anping District and established the first ruling regime in Taiwan. Through the development of Anping by the Ming Dynasty, the concentration of trade and economic bases during the Qing Dynasty, and the construction of urban planning and water conservation facilities during the Japanese Dynasty, the foundation of Tainan's urban development was laid. 2024 coincides with the 400th year of Tainan. We hope that through artistic intervention, we can record the present-day appearance of Tainan and move towards a richer and more diversified cultural city.

This residency was designed to allow emerging contemporary artists time and space to create new work exploring their practice. Artists may submit a proposal of how they intend to utilize the space as a studio to create new work or a specific project. The residency will culminate in a solo closing reception that is promoted across our extensive network. Proposals should have a contemporary art focus showing experimentation and career reach for the artist. We are especially interested in projects that involve conceptual art, practice or theory or involve the public in their creative process.

This residency was designed to give emerging contemporary artists an online platform to create new work and explore their practice. Over the course of four weeks, artists will be encouraged to experiment and explore their concepts and move their work forward in the contemporary art world.

Arrowmont seeks work for two one-month-long exhibitions in our Featured gallery space in Knoxville, Tennessee. A Penny in Your Pocket is a two-part exhibition. Part I will be in January, opening to the public on First Friday, January 3rd, and Part II will be on view in February beginning First Friday, February 7th. Carrying a penny in your pocket into the new year is alleged to bring good fortune and prosperity and we are interested in interpretations of what this means to you, other superstitions that are meaningful in your life or practice, or even new works that are being sent out into the world for exhibition for the first time 2025. The works included in this exhibition will be kicking off the exhibitions for 2025, an auspicious start to the 2025 Arrowmont Gallery in Knoxville exhibition calendar.

OVERVIEW

The Regional Artist-in-Residence program at Contemporary Craft will allow artists at any stage of their career and living within a 100 mile radius of Pittsburgh, PA, free access to fully equipped studios, CC staff support, and the opportunity to interface with the public while creating a body of work. The regional residencies are 3 months long. In exchange for the free usage of Contemporary Craft’s state of the art studio space as well as a monthly materials stipend, the artist in residence will be asked to engage with the public while working in the studio.

ELIGIBILITY

The ideal candidate will work in a craft medium that our studios can support, such as metalsmithing, jewelry, fibers, encaustics, paper and book arts, or small ceramics. They would have experience in a studio setting with knowledge of safety procedures and best practices.

Stephanie has over 15 years experience of working in commercial art galleries and art fairs, and a wealth of experience in cultural management in the public and private sector. She managed the Anish Kapoor Exhibition at the Serpentine Gallery and raised over £2 million for the expansion of the Serpentine Gallery by organising their charity auction in partnership with Sotheby’s. She was Fair Manager for Frieze Art Fair from its launch until 2006, Co-Director of Art HK: Hong Kong International Art Fair from 2007-2009 and Fair Director of Art 13-Art15 from 2012 – 2014. She now consults independently and writes for the German Financial Newspaper The Handelsblatt as well as the Neue Züricher Zeitung as their London art market correspondent. Stephanie also directed the MA Art Market & Appraisal at Kingston School of Art, London, UK, until 2021.

Karen is an Artist Manager, Fine Art Auctioneer and Consultant Expert with a Degree in Fine Art Evaluation, previously working as a Gallery Manager for Blue Dot Art & Whitewall Galleries – in addition to this was she was also a partner of White Rose Publishing. With a successful history working as an Art Broker, having sold pieces for the likes of Banksy, Karen found that she was representing and helping Artists on a regular basis achieve more sales and reaching their goals. Now she has joined forces with The VAA as our Artists Mentor.

Louise Minnaar
Based in South Africa; Louise followed her passion for art early on, attending Art School for 4 years and going on to achieve a degree in education. Louise brings over 8 years’ experience in the art industry, from art auctions all over the world to working with one of the largest publishers in the UK with Whitewall Galleries. Louise has helped clients from all walks of life get happily involved in collecting artwork, from not only the likes of Picasso and Miro, but also exciting up-and-comers at all stages in their art careers.

The Penn Journal of Arts and Sciences (PJAS) is a vibrant platform for individuals all around the world to share their scholarly and creative pursuits. The diverse voices amplified by our journal showcase creative poetry, photography, and art. With contributors from all walks of life, PJAS aims to cultivate a community rich with intellectual curiosity. The Penn Journal of Arts and Sciences accepts submissions on a rolling basis year-round, with our next quarterly issue published online and in print in Fall 2024.

Edenhope Artist Residency is a local artist-run small business in Edenhope, Victoria, Australia.
The residency program is open to all types of artists, scientists, makers, designers, and educators looking for time and space to work on their own projects in an open-plan studio space. Each artist gets a private bedroom in a house attached to the studio shared only with the other residency participants. Other activities held at EAR include workshops open to the local community, artist talks, and pop up exhibitions. EAR aims to engage international and local Australian artists interested in experiencing a new location with stays of between 1 and 3 months and we offer premium creative facilities including a printing press, 2 x 3D printers, large format Epson printer, access to kiln, and a heavy duty sewing machine.
The goal of EAR is to provide a positive and productive location for artists from all
over the world to come and stay and create new work and networks. While artists are in residence there are no creative expectations but are invited to participate in an artist talk / presentation once a month which are private but occasionally community members may be invited to. We also hold Open Days on a monthly basis where members of the public are able to visit the studio spaces. Artists are also encouraged to exhibit their work during their stay and this can be arranged on an individual basis. There are a number of locations around town that may be utilised upon arrangement.

Edenhope is a small town with daily conveniences such as a supermarket (with hardware & haberdashery), post office, pharmacy and a pub and cafe/bakery. There is also a medical centre, hospital, variety of churches, motel with restaurant, local community art gallery, opp shop, antique shop, and the southern hemisphere’s only Dachshund Museum!

There is a strong arts presence in the wider area with both nearest major towns home to regional galleries, a number of arts festivals and the nearby Silo Arts Trail. Group trips and tours can be arranged to visit local hiking spots, geological sites, galleries and places of interest, and larger towns for shopping.

With natural scenery, farmland and key geographical sites of interest in all directions including the World Heritage Listed Naracoorte Caves, Bailey’s Rocks, Mt Arapiles (known for its world class mountain climbing), Little Desert National Park, and the Coonawarra Wine Region nearby. A number of exciting and inspiring locations are a day trip away including the Grampians (Gariwerd) National Park, pink Lake Tyrrell, Victoria’s largest saltwater lake and the Murtoa Stick Shed.

Residency applications are accepted on a rolling basis and artists and makers of all kinds are invited to apply.

Up to six best in show artists will have their work published with a critical review in the Artist Feature Catalogue. Artists participating in the online exhibit will have two works of art on display and links to their website and social media. Artists keep 100% sales of their work.

The Japan Foundation, New York office (JFNY) accepts applications from non-profit organizations for projects that take place within the 37 states east of the Rocky Mountains, plus Washington D.C., listed below for the JFNY Grant for Arts & Culture on a rolling basis throughout the year. This grant aims to support projects that will further understanding of Japanese arts and culture. Successful projects are granted up to $5,000. This grant also supports online projects related to Arts & Cultural Exchange that incorporate issues pertaining to the COVID-19 global pandemic such as virtual exhibitions, virtual performances, film streaming, online conference as well as webinar. Priority will be given to those projects that have secured additional funding from sources other than the Japan Foundation, as well as projects that take place in areas where access to Japanese cultural events are relatively limited.

The School of the Photographic Arts: Ottawa (SPAO) invites applications for the Artist in Residence for Photographers and Photo-Based Artists. This 6-month photographic mentorship and residency is one of the most unique residencies of its kind. ABOUT THE FELLOWSHIP

Our mission is to champion a contemporary approach to metal casting. It’s a mindset we share with the artists & designers we work with - having the courage to ignore, bend and push the rules associated with our craft.

We’re aware that for many artists, a major barrier to working in bronze is the access & cost of the process. In response, we created the London Bronze Fellowship - an opportunity for you to pitch a new work to us, which we will then share with potential sponsors who will select & jointly fund the fellowship with LBE.

When a sponsor (Gallery / Collector / Corporate) selects an artwork, the fellowship will be scheduled in, giving the artist access to the Foundry to learn from the production. A limited Edition of 3 artworks will be made, one free copy for the Artist, one for the Sponsor & one for London Bronze Editions.

We’re open to hearing ambitious, experimental & creative ideas. It can be made using traditional or digital processes, where the work is ready to be cast, or needs development through 3D modelling.

The editions will be made by the technicians at London Bronze Casting. The Fellow will be given 20 hours dedicated workshop time to join the foundry staff during the making process to learn & assist in the casting process.

This can take place in-person, remotely or a combination of both.

If, as civil rights scholar Vincent Harding once said, America is “a country that has yet to be born,” the pop culture for social change field can help prepare and guide millions of people through this process of becoming something new by clearing away the detritus of our nation’s past, replacing fetid, crumbling ideas and norms with ones rooted in justice, care, and connection.

Together, artists, organizers, strategists, and researchers can create the stories that help the American public understand and interpret the choices we face through the lens of our shared commitment to becoming a pluralist nation.

Over the long-term, the Collaborative is working to support the growth of a pop culture for social change field capable of building the yearning in most Americans (more than 150 million people) to actively co-create a just and pluralist society in which everyone is perceived to belong, inherently, and is treated as such. The Pop Culture Collaborative defines a pluralist society as a culture in which the majority of people in a community and nation are engaged in the hard and delicate work of belonging together in a just and equitable society.

GRANT ELIGIBILITY
Individuals/organizations with fiscal sponsorships as well as nonprofits and for-profits in the United States are eligible for Pop Culture Collaborative grants.

To be considered, proposals must engage, affect, center, and/or support at least one or all of our multi-community focus areas: people of color, immigrants, refugees, Indigenous peoples, and/or Muslims, particularly those who are women, queer, transgender, and/or disabled. Initiatives with an intersectional and intentional focus on gender justice, LGBTQIA rights, disability, democratic fairness, pluralist values, and economic justice are highly prioritized. The Collaborative seeks grantee partners working at the intersection of pop culture and social change who:

Are artists, activists, organizations, strategists, researchers, and/or others who identify culture change as a clear outcome of their work and pop culture strategies as a critical aspect of their culture change efforts.
The Pop Culture Collaborative provides grants to artists and organizations or companies that support artist cohorts, from various disciplines, locations, and industries to bring their artistic vision to mass audiences, while also contributing to field-wide efforts to build public yearning for a pluralist America.

We seek to create a large, networked community of artists who believe that their creative work and leadership have the power to inspire millions of Americans to actively co-create a pluralist society.

Areas of interest include:

Supporting artists and cultural organizations to conceptualize, develop, and produce creative works that can help build public yearning for pluralist culture in America.
Supporting artists to gather for shared learning, networking, community-knitting, and power-building, especially spaces that bring artists into direct and meaningful connection with frontline activists and culture change strategists.
Helping artists and organizations develop the methodology, networks, infrastructure, pipelines, and leadership skills needed to redistribute access and power in their respective industries to historically excluded communities.

The Pop Culture Collaborative accepts proposals by invitation only. However, we have created a simple process for potential grantees to self-evaluate whether they are a match with the Collaborative’s goals and guidelines, and if so, to submit an idea for our consideration. It is important to note that an idea submission is not a proposal. The Collaborative will respond only to idea submissions that the staff team has reviewed and deem a potential match.

Cultural sector workers based in Greater Austin facing verifiable and immediate housing, food or healthcare insecurity (including travel, lodging and procedure expenses related to reproductive care) may apply for up to $1000 in unrestricted funds. The funding pool is limited, so applicants are asked to carefully consider the amount they request. Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis, and are subject to verification and available funds. A short phone interview may be required. Priority will be given to ACA members. Repayment is not required, but artists who receive funding may be asked to support the ACA Community in the future.

Max’s Emergency Relief & Resource Fund is a one-time grant of between $500 and $1000 to assist self-employed artists who have a steady work history, but who are experiencing a temporary financial set back. MKCP assistance is designed to resolve this short term crisis, whatever it may be, and the applicant will again gain employment in the near future. Individuals seeking assistance must be residents of New York State. Exceptions are made in some cases if applicant was affiliated with Max’s Kansas City. Applicants whose arrears are so serious that assistance will not allow them relief from their difficulties are not eligible for assistance. Please be specific as to what bill the grant is needed for. Grants of financial assistance do not go to the applicant. Payment goes directly to creditor/third party. Please note, although MKCP Emergency Grant does cover medical bills, it does not cover psychotherapy costs unless the psychotherapist is an MD. MKCP only covers housing, medical and legal aid. The application and support materials must be sent by snail mail!

We established the Community Fund to provide support to professional creators during times of extraordinary hardship.

This year, we have witnessed the unprovoked, violent attacks on Ukraine and the tragic loss of innocent lives. As we see continue to see this tragedy unfold, we believe we have a responsibility to support professional creators during the growing humanitarian crisis and refugee situation in the region. We will now be focusing our Community Fund efforts on providing support to those creators who have been directly impacted by the unjustified invasion of Ukraine.

If selected, you will receive US$10,000 from the Adobe Creative Residency Community Fund. While applicants can use the money granted to them by the Community Fund at their full and lawful discretion, the purpose of the award is to allow recipients impacted by the invasion of Ukraine to support themselves and their families during this time of conflict. Three times per year, downtown OKC IT firm amshot hosts an art opening featuring the art work of a local artist. The event benefits a local charitable organization and artists retain 90 percent of their sales.

As a local business, amshot typically focuses on IT services and software development, but our team is also passionate about supporting the local art community. With this in mind, we created exhibITion to promote local artists, give back to our community, and enjoy the company of fellow art-lovers.

Three times per year, we feature a local artist’s work on our office walls, host an art exhibition and sale, invite a local brewery, serve wine and hors d’oeuvres, and donate the proceeds of the event to a charitable organization.

The art show is hosted at amshot’s office in Downtown OKC. Admission to the gallery is free, but those 21+ can donate $5 to the featured charitable organization in exchange for a wristband that will allow them beer from the featured local brewery and wine. Light hors d’oeuvres are also served. All art displayed will be for sale and can be purchased with card or cash. The sold and unsold art will then hang in amshot’s office until the next exhibITion for all to enjoy.

The Craft Emergency Relief Fund (CERF+) emergency relief grant focuses on artists working in craft or materials-based folk/traditional disciplines that are 18 years or older and have resided and worked in the U.S. or U.S. territories for the past 2 years. These artists must have experienced a recent, unforeseen, career threatening emergency. Emergency Relief is available year-round.
The Get Ready Grant program provides individual craft artists grants up to $500 to conduct activities that will help safeguard their studios, protect their careers and prepare for emergencies. Artists are encouraged to use the Risk Assessment activity to generate ideas. Priority will be given to applications from people who identify in the global majority or as Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC)* and folk and traditional artists. ARTNOIR is excited to announce our microgrant initiative, The Jar of Love Fund, is currently accepting applications once again. The Jar of Love Fund is intended to provide relief for artists, curators, and cultural producers of color. The Jar of Love Fund has distributed over $100,000 USD and first launched in 2020 in response to the unprecedented times of uncertainty, unrest, and the subsequent adverse impact on our community.

For the past decade, ARTNOIR has worked tirelessly to be an agent of social change catalyzing equity across the arts and culture industries. As an organization based on the foundation of community first, we want to do our part to provide love and care for artists, curators and cultural producers of color when they need it most. The unrestricted grant is designed to help remove some of the burden of thought and free up mental and spiritual capacity to continue creating and collaborating in strength. The arts and culture are the bedrock of any society. These are spaces that invite us to think critically and engage in rigorous discourse around the tough challenges we face as a community. As we reflect on the decade worth of work we have done as an organization, it is imperative that we utilize our network and resources to ensure that creatives have the capacity to create and be the spark of joy we need in our lives.

We are committed to ensuring that artists, curators and cultural producers of all gender expressions, sexual orientation, disability status, and socioeconomic class have access to the fund and will actively work to ensure outreach is targeted to groups otherwise excluded from resources of this nature. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis as funds become available. Microgrant amounts are determined on a case-by-case basis depending on the scale of the project.

The dual artistic mentoring program run by Tlaxcala 3 + Lab Program, facilitates a partnership to develop critical skills and sensitive tools, where the concept of archive is presented as an opportunity to experiment and reflect on the role of memory in artistic creation.

This dual program aims to unravel the hidden layers of meaning, secrecy, and control often found within institutions, discourses, and social and spatial practices addressed in the conventional notion of archive.

Hierarchies and contradictions presented in texts and discourses, which, through simulation and the modern concept of reality, allow us to question concepts such as authenticity and truth in an era of simultaneous images, signs, multiple temporalities, and spaces. The cost of the residency is $25,000 MXN or 1,700 USD.
Studio Facilities are provided in collaboration with peer self-run art spaces in the city. This is a modality that encourage engagement with the wide and diverse art communities in Mexico City.

The Black Artists Grant (BAG) offered by Creative Debuts as a no-strings attached financial support to help black artists. They can spend the grant on whatever they want – be that make new work, buy equipment or materials, travel, research, visit exhibitions or conferences, or to even just cover some life expenses.

This grant has been set up because black artists are systematically under-supported by the art world; by institutions, curators, the artist-led scene, major and minor funding bodies, the market, art schools, and by audiences too.

The Awesome Foundation is an ever-growing worldwide community devoted to forwarding the interest of awesome in the universe. Created in the long hot summer days of 2009 in Boston, the Foundation distributes $1,000 grants, no strings attached, to projects and their creators. At each fully autonomous chapter, the money is pooled together from the coffers of ten or so self-organizing “micro-trustees” and given up front in cash, check, or gold doubloons.

You have the opportunity to participate in a cutting-edge sculpture exhibition that is anticipated to be the first of its kind in the world: An Augmented Reality exhibition of real-world sculptures that will be virtually displayed via an app onto a real-world outdoor pedestal in a Price Sculpture Forest’s beautiful public sculpture park setting. Your real-world physical sculpture will be digitally transformed for onsite display by a technology startup company we are partnering with. A custom Augmented Reality phone app has been created specifically for this exhibition at Price Sculpture Forest. Visitors will download the app onsite (free WiFi is provided) and be able to view your sculpture via a QR code on your sculpture plaque that shows your name and sculpture title. The visitors can then see your high-resolution sculpture on the pedestal seamlessly placed within the visual context of the entire area, background, and people there. They can walk around your sculpture to see it from all angles and view it up close or from a distance. They can even stand by your sculpture and take a picture with it. The app will include artist information about you plus links to your website and social media for additional information, contact, and sales inquiries.

One of our most vital services, the SubletSeries@HERE supports 150 guest independent artists and groups—such as Colt Coeur, Ma-Yi, and New Georges each season. As Ben Brantley of The New York Times states, “HERE’s Sublet Series allows artists to develop and perform work, at a discount.”

This creative curated rental program has allowed many upstart companies and emerging artists to realize their full artistic vision on a small budget. The program provides subsidized performance and rehearsal space, a technical liaison, and administrative support, including a fully staffed box office. SubletSeries@HERE artists can also access equipment that is not typically available in venues our size such as video projectors, wireless microphones, LEDs—all for free or at subsidized rates. We accept applications from artists all over the world for the opportunity to show work.

XAANINNA art residency located in the jungle of Tulum Mexico is currently receiving applications for self directed art residency projects to take place on through 2024.
